From Contractor to Equity Partner: The NAA Specialist Path

How specialists grow inside the NAA network, from project-based work to equity ownership in the businesses they help build.

NAA is built on a simple belief: the people who do the work should own a piece of what they build. That is why we created the Specialist Path, a four-level progression that takes talented operators from freelance work to equity partnerships.

Level 1: Contractor

Every specialist starts as a contractor. You take on project-based work for NAA partner businesses. You get paid per project or per hour, and you build your track record within the network. This stage is about proving your skills and your reliability.

Level 2: Specialist

After demonstrating consistent quality and reliability, contractors move to Specialist status. Specialists get priority project assignments, higher rates, and access to NAA's tools and training. You start managing a portfolio of partner accounts in your specialty area.

Level 3: Lead Specialist

Lead Specialists manage a team of contractors and specialists within their domain. You are responsible for quality, timelines, and results across multiple partner businesses. At this level, you start participating in revenue share arrangements tied to partner performance.

Level 4: Equity Partner

The top level. Equity Partners hold actual ownership stakes in the businesses they help build and in NAA itself. This is not a vague promise. It is a structured path with clear criteria and contractual agreements.

Equity Partners have built systems that generate measurable revenue for their partners, led teams that deliver consistently, and demonstrated the strategic thinking to grow businesses, not just execute tasks.

Why This Matters

The traditional agency model pays people salaries to do client work. The client owns everything, the agency captures the margin, and the specialist gets a paycheck. Our model is different. When you help build a business from $500K to $2M, you should share in that value creation.
